Parliament resumed on Monday, and CSAAA is re-engaging with Members of Parliament across all parties to advocate for businesses and highlight the challenges our industry faces. We’ve requested further meetings with the Minister of Public Safety and other key ministers and policy makers to push back against harmful policy and ensure the voice of our industry is heard.

One of CSAAA’s unique strengths is our ability to secure meetings not only with firearms-friendly representatives, but also with officials from the Liberal and NDP caucuses that have historically been less supportive of our industry. These conversations are critical. They give us the opportunity to inform on the realities of running a business in the hunting and firearms industry, to educate, and to demonstrate the economic and cultural importance of our members in Canada.

We are also actively monitoring and speaking to government about a wide range of past, current, and upcoming regulations that affect our members. This includes restrictions already in force, those currently being debated, and proposals that may be on the horizon. By maintaining constant communication with policymakers, CSAAA ensures that our industry’s perspective is considered at every stage of the legislative and regulatory process.
