Your membership also includes free access to CSAAA industry trade shows, shoots and educational events. The most important reason to be a member is that your donation will help continue the lobby effort for the rights of both the firearms industry and our customers.

Your membership includes a full corporate membership in the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) through our Group Membership Agreement which gives our members access to discounted small business programs and free small business advisors.

The CSAAA has regular contact and lobbies full time with Federal, Provincial and municipal governments to protect and advance the shooting sports industry on behalf of our Members. Our business and pastime depends on keeping Canada firearms friendly.

EVENTS

We hold many events throughout the year for Members.

CSAAA National Trade Show

The CSAAA National Trade Show is Canada’s only trade-only buying show for sporting arms retailers. EAST and WEST editions, held each year in February, feature exhibits by Canada’s leading distributors showcasing the worlds leading firearm, ammunition and shooting sports accessories with Canadian pricing and product availability. A focused, efficient and cost effective way for retailers to stock up.

Dealer Training Days

Held in Ottawa every June, this live-range event features product demonstration and sales training by Canada’s leading distributors. Retailers are encourage to bring sales staff to experience first-hand the newest and most popular firearms, ammunition and shooting sports accessories. Trained sales staff make better sales staff. Plans to expand this event to other regions are underway.

Industry Special Events

The CSAAA regularly hosts special issue conferences and roundtables on subjects facing our industry. Past events have included conferences on the UN Firearms Marking Protocol, Strategic Planning and Bill C-71. All CSAAA events are free for current members, watch for future events in your CSAAA Member Update newsletter.
