Public Safety has informed us that the relaunch of the “buyback” or “Assault Style Firearms Compensation Program” for prohibited inventory will be delayed until the New Year due to unexpected internal changes and complications within the program.

We recognize how many businesses are relying on this program and waiting for compensation for firearms they are unable to sell, and we understand the strain these delays create. We will provide an update as soon as a new launch date, or a more specific ETA is confirmed.

CSAAA is still actively working to ensure the budget for business claims is expanded significantly, so that every business submitting a claim can be fully and properly compensated. These discussions are ongoing at the federal level, and we will share further details as they become available.
