Kathryn Troubridge
As co-founder and co-owner of Excalibur Crossbow in Kitchener, Ontario – Kathryn lead with an unwavering passion for improving the industry and sport. Kathryn inspired the next generation of industry and sports men and women, representing crossbow enthusiasts and businesses all across North America and volunteered countless hours bettering the archery community and industry.
In 1995, Kathryn and husband Bill presented a strong argument against the crossbow portions of Bill C-68 – advocating the have crossbows removed from the legislation on behalf of crossbow hunters, target shooters and the industry.
Kathryn worked with the Wild Turkey Federation’s “Women in the Outdoors” program, Cabela’s Outdoors programs as well as numerous other events teaching crossbow hunting and safety.
The Canadian Sporting Arms and Ammunition Association was honoured to have Kathryn sit on its board of directors for ten years. Kathryn remained directly involved for over twenty years, attending nearly all meetings and working closely with CSAAA to promote and protect Canada’s hunting and archery industry.
Kathryn sat on the American Crossbow Association’s board of directors for nearly twenty years offering crossbow demonstrations and presentations all over North America. Their work was instrumental in allowing crossbow hunting during archery season in Canada and the United States.
Kathryn and her partner Bill retired from Excalibur Crossbow after 30 years. Kathryn and Bill Troubridge founded Excalibur Crossbow thirty years prior, and sold the business upon retiring. The Excalibur name remains a staple in the archery and hunting community.
